Coordinated Attack Penalty

Coordinated attack result has been altered. It went from a flat DV penalty regardless of how many people actually attack, to simply linking their attacks together for the purpose of continual onslaught penalty.

The mechanics of how to perform one is unaltered.

  1. Misc (5/-0) Action
  2. Roll (Charisma + War) with difficulty equal to half the number of people in the coordinated attack rounded down
    • There is no Teamwork bonus for "helping" the commander with the Coordinated attack. It is assumed that he is already being helped by the people he is coordinated.
  3. If sucessful, on the Tick he next acts the people in the coordinated attack will have their attacks linked for Onslaught considerations
    • The normal DV penalty of the number of successes on the roll (capped at the total number of people involved in the attack) are ignored

This has the advantage of it takes less people to completely wipe out someone's DV, especially with multi-action charms involved.

Old System
Flawless Oak coordinates with Alabaster Hand of the Heaven and Laoghaire, needing to roll 1 successes (3/2 rounded down).
He rolls 5 successes, this will apply a -3 (-5 for 5 success, capped at 3 for 3 people in the coordinated attack) to target's DV
This penalty will apply even if only Flawless Oak attacks, and the other 2 members decided to take their action to do push ups 300 yards away.

New System
Flawless Oak coordinates with Alabaster and Laoghaire, needing to roll 1 success (3/2 rounded down)
He rolls 9,9999,9999 successes - so the coordinated attack happens
Flawless Oak attacks with Multi-attack charm of 4 attacks. So the target will be at -3 onslaught DV penalty when he finishes his attacks
Alabaster Hand of the Heaven decide to flurry with his rate 3 weapon. So his 1st attack will be made at -3 DV, 2nd will be -4, 3rd will be -5, the next attack from the coordinated group will be at -6 DV penalty.
Laoghaire follows up with his own Flurry of rate 2. His first attack will be made at -6 DV to the opponent, his next attack will be made at -7 DV to the opponent.
Should Alabaster decided to go do push ups 3000 yard away, Laoghaire's first attack will only be at -3 DV, his final attack would be at -4 DV.

This has the advantage of making coordinated attacks more effective, but it also have the drawback of things that ignore Onslaught now also ignore coordinated attacks.
