General Changes

  • Creation is meant for living
    • Aside from the dangers of Elemental Poles, Creation is a place designed to be welcoming to life.
      • Doesn't matter how high you fly you will not suffocate because air gets thinner, or the temperature gets much colder. It might get colder because wind is stronger, but unless you are near the elemental pole of Air it will not be to the point of being life threatening (based on elevation alone)
        • Various Weather Gods do follow the pattern that snow and cold weather is more common and severe higher in altitude, but that only extends to the level at which mortals dwell.
        • Once you pass the Cumulus Sea (around 20-30 miles up) it becomes calm and comfortable as most of the time the Weather Gods have no schedule for weather events that high up. In fact it gets hotter up there because you are closer to the presence of the Unconquered Sun's Anima.
      • Doesn't matter how deep you dive, water pressure will not increase, nor will the water get freezing on the basis of depth. It will get colder because there is no sun, but at no point will the ocean be a life threatening caused by Depth alone.
        • Darker things dwell in the depth away from the light of the All Glory, so the depth is more dangerous. It is not just not solely because your are so far below sea level.
  • The Heavenly Firmament
    • The Heavenly Firmament is about the height of Earth's Mesosphere
      • The mesosphere extends from the stratopause to 80–85 km (50–53 mi; 260,000–280,000 ft).
    • Think of it as an almost flat Bowl with its lowest point directly over the Spine of the World. Its highest point are the edges of creation, but only higher than the lowest point by ~5miles
  • The Spine of the World
    • Also known as the Imperial Mountain
    • Has a height of 50 miles and is about 50 feet below the Heavenly Firmament at its razor sharp zenith
      • You can make out the details of Yu-Shan from its peak
        • It is right below an resevoir/lake of the golden canals of Yu-Shan
      • From here you can distinguish without difficulty the spheres of colored lights that are the Stars
        • They are physically embedded into the heavenly firmament. There are legends of star thieves stuck down by the firmament because they touched the inviolable divider.
    • It is not snow capped like other mountains below it
    • Meru is about a mile from the peak
  • Sword of Creation have no Soulsteel in it
    • Ghosts are an entirely new state of Existence that did not come into existence till the Primordial were “killed” and thus Created the Concept of space between Life and Death – Creating the Underworld and brought forth the Concept of End of all Ends into Existence (e.g. Oblivion)
    • Prior to this there is nothing to form soulsteel from. In fact one can argue that soulsteel as a concept doesn’t even exist. It is akin to saying Hydrogen existed before the Christian God made the world from nothing, which in this setting’s interpretation does not happen.
    • Gone are the force justification of soulsteel actually existed because Autochton nuked a bunch of Grey Alien like beings out of anger and their souls were destroyed and turned into Soulsteel
      • He still destroyed that race, but no soulsteel came of it.
      • Soulsteel isn’t actually destroyed souls, nor is it souls forged into iron ore. It is in fact Ghosts forged into iron ore. Until Ghosts exists there is simply nothing there to forge. It is akin to saying well diamond is made of Carbon, so instead of using charcoal to mix into iron to make steel I will use diamonds. It should still work – in this setting it does not.
      • I am surprised with the new Malfean book they didn’t say Sword of Creation is made of 5 Magical Materials plus 5 corrupted Magical Materials.
    • In anycase, no soulsteel. Instead it has Adamant. So it is still 5 Magical Materials – Orichalcum, Moonsilver, Starmetal (even this is iffy, but tolerable), Jadesteel (of all varieties but not Yellow since yellow is completely artificial), and Adamant.
  • I do not like the way the Exalted Setting divides up the Ages, so for my game
    • The Age before Time is upto the End of the Primordial Wars, I call it the PrimordialAge for Tag purposes
    • The First Age is from when Solars took over Meru to the Usurpation, it is often refered to as "The Age" or "The Golden Age" or "Age of Gold"
    • The Second Age is the Age of Dragon-Blooded Shogunate. It went from Usurpation to the Great Contaigent (which is also the start of the Scarlet Empire). It is often referred to as "The Shogunate"
    • The Third Age is the "Age of the Scarlet Empress", later known as the "Age of Sorrow", and marks from the Formation of the Scarlet Empire to the Current Time
      • This addition of Ages does not necessitate the changing of the Maiden of Ending's offhand comment that charater:chejopkejak "will bring an end to two ages". The Great Contagion is not an act by him. His actions directly led to the end of First Age, and it will be his actions that will bring the end of the Third Age.
      • Though Chejop Kejak has been more active since the end of Second Age, believing the prophecy has been completed.
    • The Third Age is our current Age, it went from the Great Contagion/Establishment of the Scarlet Empire to now
  • On Issues of Primordials
    • Yozis are not Primordials
    • Neverborns are not Primordials
    • Unconquered Sun needed the Exalted to fight the Primordials because as Gods they cannot harm their Creators via the Gea.
      • The Gea is very specific, it is not all "Primordial Like" Beings. It is specifically those entities that forged Creation that is called Primordials.
        • So even if I buy the whole concept that Malfeans can become mini Primordials they are in no way protected by the Gea
      • This Gea was made irrelevant as the Primordial Surrendered and descend into Yozi-hood.
      • Gaia and Autochthon was not part of the Surrender thus Gods still cannot harm them
    • The Yozis are allowed to live because the Gods feared that killing them will unmake Creation
      • The Neverborn knows this is false or else the Deathlords and Abyssal would be assaulting the Gates of Malfeas as we speak - and win
      • Ever since Salian workings, or perhaps it already existed and the working just allow it to be accessed by others, Creation has achieved its own dreamy consciousness. It has taken upon the quality of Primordial itself, and it defines Existence and Constance. It requires no confirmation from the shells of the primordial that are the Yozis. Even should Gaia be killed Creation will be wrecked by catastrophy, but it will ultimately re-establish itself as a new form.
    • Thus the Celestial Incarna were roused away from the game they can waltz right into Malfeas with the Arial Host and kill every single Yozis and end Malfeas once and for all. Because Unconquered Sun cannot be beaten. By killing the Yozis he will also end all the powers to the Infernal. Unlike other Exalted who are independent in power, Solar/Abyssal/Lunar/Alchemicals/Dragon-Blooded created charms is not automatically known by their Creators, for their powers are independent of their maker. The Fiends, on the other hand, are completely linked to their masters. Thus once the Yozi is killed, those charms simply no longer exists as concepts and the Infernals are just Enlightened beings with lots of Essence with no Infernal Charms till they can somehow reform their masters (For their Masters more or less ARE the Charms)

Manual of Exalted Power - Infernal

This book is just a mess, I'll add as I encounter them when I am adding to the wiki.

  • Slave-Spawn Summons (Emerald Circle, Infernal Only)
    • Removed
    • Fiends use the same mechanism as other Exalted on how to get Demons into Creation. There is no separate system or "short cut" that only they have access to.
      • Otherwise the Akumas could have used it long ago and emptied Malfeas of all inhabitants save the Yozis themselves.
    • Some of the Major Problems
      • Page 165 "When the Yozis require the services of an inferior slave to attend them, they reach out across the infinitudes of existence and drag the creature through the folds of Elsewhere, teleporting it to attend them."
        • Teleportation of such a scale are prohibited under standard Exalted Cannon.
        • What the Primordial can do is order the gods of the domain they are visiting to show and serve them
          • The Gods can use Hurry Home with the ever more powerful Gods bringing their subordinates and so on and so on
          • The Primordials are limited by what Gods are actually assigned to any specific area/task, and cannot just summon their favorite servants at a whim.
            • E.g. they work within the system they created, because they defined it.
      • "The laws of fate and the warding power of the Unconquered Sun normally block this spell from working in Creation, Yu-Shan or any other realms where the Loom holds sway. However, a single crack opens at sunset each day through which a sorcerer can cast this spell."
        • The Victory Over Primordials Mudra is what keeps the Yozis' power in check, in fact is the single document that rules over all Malfean/Creation interactions. It is not the intercession of the Unconquered Sun, the laws of his whim, or the machinations of the Looms of Fate that determines this.
        • The ludicrous idea that fate has a crack whenever sunsets and sunrises should be horrifying. The only time Fate might have a crack is when the loom is not being attended to during Calibration.
  • The Magical Materials Text box on Pg 173
    • All other Exalts requires to pay double to attune to foreign magical materials it makes little balance sense that the Infernals could get around it by just waiting 5 days.
    • Infernals are also built on the grounds of Solars, there is no reason the Yozis, as weakend as they are, are capable of doing something Autochthon who is still a Primordial and whom made the sparks (which should be beyond other Primordial's understanding) couldn't do.
      • Because if Autochton could do it, the Alchemicals would be Solar level beings and not between Lunar and Sidereals
      • You can argue that Autochton isn't as reckless so he isn't going to unlock his own charm set to these beings - except he did… he is willing to unlock things as dangerous as the ability to make Exalted to even mere MORTALS, let along to his "chosen".
      • Plus the Yozis are NOT the primordials, there should be no conceivable reason why they can even fundamentally change a Solar Spark. What the Neverborn did was pretty much dip the sparks in black ink and stained it black (Black versions of Solar Abilities). What the Yozis did is take apples and made them into oranges (Whole new sets of abilities that has no correlation with the sparks original abilities).
    • Thus Infernals can naturally attune to artifacts originally made of Corrupted Magical Material
      • This still grants them the ability to gain the bonus of all 5 materials as long as it is constructed accordingly
      • They now still have to pay double to get foreign bonuses, just like every other Exalt
    • Consequently there now exist no way to corrupt an artifact once its completed, as the harmonized essence flow that makes it function would be ruined by such a fundamental change in composition.

Scroll of Exalts

  • pg 90 Mnemon
    • Immortality now is incredibly difficult to achieve. Mnemon does not possess the Gem of Immortality1, that honor goes to Lilith. Mnemon instead is relying on the description given in the Blessed Isle book. She someone managed to perform a sorcery that the Scarlet Empress used to somehow link their lifespan to something. She will still die, just age at a slower rate.
      • Probably in the range of living 10x as long. She is Essence 7, which means she will probably normally live 400-500 year. This means she will live 4000-5000 years (not including anti-aging medicine that all Dynasts use)
      • This also explains why the Scarlet Empress is so desperate to seek immortality - because she knows she will still die eventually. This makes the case why she would actually bother to use the forbidden artifact:brokenwingcrane.
